| Rosemary Elliott, Assistant Professor of Cello at the Eastman School of Music, combines an active teaching career with chamber music and recital performances.A founding member of the Irish contemporary music group Nua Nos, Ms Elliott was for five years a member of the National Symphony of Ireland. In 1994 she was appointed to the cello faculty of the Royal College of Music and in London she performed regularly with the London Mozart Players, the City of London Sinfonia and the Orchesta of St John's Smith Square. Most recently she was appointed principal cellist of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra in Ithaca, New York. As a chamber musician, Ms Elliott has participated in festivals in the U.S, England and Ireland. For the past several years she has been a member of the performing faculty at the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival in Brunswick, Maine. Ms Elliott is director of Morning Chamber Music, a series of concerts at the Eastman School featuring Eastman Faculty, she plays regularly with the Eastman Virtuosi and has also performed with the Rochester Chamber Society. In addition to her work with the Cello Divas Ms Elliott is active as a recitalist in the Rochester area with her duo partner, Rose Shlyam Grace.
