Cellist Ingrid Bock enjoys a wide variety of musical activities in Rochester, New York, as performer, teacher, and concert presenter. She is a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the principal cellist of the Rochester Chamber Orchestra, and the founder and director of Fortissimo! Inc., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to presenting innovative summer chamber music concerts and providing chamber music study opportunities for area students. For ten years Ingrid was a full time instructor of cello and chamber music at the Eastman School of Music’s Community Education Division, and was the coordinator of the summer chamber music program there. Ingrid received the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and the Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School, where she studied with Cleveland Quartet cellist Paul Katz. Apart from her musical activities, she enjoys reading, running, Scrabble, tennis, and gardening. Most of all, she enjoys her large family of dogs and cats. |
