The Cello Divas’ 2001 debut in the Eastman School of
Music’s Kilbourn
Hall was an instant hit, and since that time the Divas have delighted
audiences with a unique blend of music spanning the globe and the
centuries. They bring a fresh approach to a wide range of musical
styles, and are equally at home playing Bach suites and Beatles
singles. The Divas enjoy customizing their programs to suit diverse
audiences, and are proud to contribute to their community by
entertaining at local benefit concerts and by performing for
schoolchildren, senior citizens, and everyone in between. The Cello
Divas are committed to enlarging the existing repertoire for cello
ensemble by commissioning new works and arrangements. In addition to
writing some of their own versions of favorite pieces, they’ve
premiered several works by noted composers, including arrangements by
Rochesterians Cary Ratcliff and Jeff Tyzik. The Cello Divas, who can be
reached at www.cellodivas.com,
are Ingrid Bock, Rosemary Elliott, Natasha Farny, and Keiko Ying.
